Every November, Lisbon becomes a meeting point for the people who decide how tech and business move forward. Web Summit is not just a conference. It’s where frameworks are proposed, priorities are aligned, and regulators finally sit at the same table as founders.
This year, Ampere is there with the same agenda we’ve had since launch: rebuild the business banking layer so that it works for the businesses that actually use it. That means faster onboarding, transparent currency exchange, better access control, and payment logic that works internationally.
If you’ve ever tried to explain to your bank why a payment was flagged, or waited four weeks for an international transfer to clear, you already know why we’re here.
The 2025 Web Summit agenda reflects a growing awareness that legacy systems are obstructive. Sessions on embedded finance, AI compliance logic, and SME liquidity tools show a clear shift: the infrastructure itself is now the conversation.
Within the private sessions and working groups, two patterns are emerging:
- National regulators are actively seeking feedback on account portability and instant verification.
- Early-stage fintechs are leading implementation, especially in markets under 100 employees.
A recent private fintech review, circulated among SME-focused firms ahead of the Lisbon event, included multiple references to Ampere in the context of account speed, transparency, and permissions.
We build systems that implement to business banking:
- Instant multi-currency accounts (GBP, EUR, USD, CHF)
- Currency conversion with transparent rates (0.35%–0.55%)
- Role-based permissions for teams
- Built-in invoicing, card controls, and smart reconciliation flows
Every feature starts from a founder’s real need. Faster verification? Built. Native EUR accounts? Done. A chat interface that answers “where’s the IBAN” at midnight? Already live.
